X. THE AIM OF THE RALLY

  1. To promote health. To raise awareness about cancer.
  2. To show that myeloma is not a death sentence and that, with the help of modern medicine and friends, it is possible to lead an active life comparable to that before the illness. All that is needed is access to modern treatments.
  3. To realise that we should have dreams and strive to make them come true.
  4. To demonstrate that a positive outlook on life is fundamental to effective treatment – a stressed patient experiences a rapid heart rate, digestive problems and even immune system issues – which, unfortunately, hinders treatment.
  5. Mutual motivation to fight myeloma. Sharing experiences of coping with the disease.
  6. Raising awareness of the impact of physical activity on improving physical fitness, which enhances the effects of treatment.
  7. Encouraging patients to switch to an active lifestyle through cycling.
  8. Bringing together people with myeloma and cycle tourists.
  9. Promoting cycling and sightseeing as an active form of leisure

  2. The ride proceeds at a speed of approximately 8 to 12 km/h in a single lane, leaving space on the left-hand side of the peloton for marshals.
